At least this afternoon, there was not much to do, because any children that were still in the division were either asleep or occupied in some other manner. I guess, sadly, I know I will have more to do this week, because there will always be children getting sick and needing help. This fact is inevitable, so I might as well make those children who have to be in the division a bit happier. My task for the week: get to know more kids!

On Going Home
Last week almost every bed in my division was occupied. Today, only a handful remain. Four children I had played with on a consistent basis went home between Friday and today. It's hard to know what to feel when you see a child you have played with and gotten to know over the course of a couple weeks go home. Yes, of course I am excited that they are well enough to go home, who wouldn't be? But, I also realize that I will probably never see them again, and will never know how they are doing, and at the same time I am hoping that I will not see them back in the hospital.

Good luck meeting new kids! But I'm sure you've made their stay there as wonderful as it could have been.
