Belated Thursday Blog
Thursday I consolidated space in my sponsor’s storage facility. Consolidating space allows for more products to be carried at a time, and allows for new products to be introduced. This is important because as a business grows more buyers all want product, so it is essential to carry as much product as possible at a time. This decreases a risk of being out of stock in anything, which cost companies money. If a company is out of stock too often the company can lose buyers because in today’s world there is little room for error, and if a vendor is not doing its job then it will be replaced. Also I traveled to different stores in the area to compare how stores displayed my sponsor’s competitor’s products to how they display my sponsor’s products. The competitor’s products are held in a large, clunky display case that is difficult to work with, where as my sponsor’s display case is a smaller design that holds more products, and is easier to work with. In addition the competitor’s individual products were often scratched, or had other clearly visible flaws. My sponsor’s product is made of a sturdier, more expensive material, so it is much more resistant to wear and tear during shipping, so it looks more appealing to customers.
