Well today I started out my day with the Environmental Science Exam, so I got to project in the afternoon. I talked with people working on planning the 5k run for Girls on the Run. I helped them order crowns for them to give out at the run. We went through the oriental trading magazine to try to find the best crowns for the least amount of money. Once we found a few crowns, we looked for gems and stickers to decorate the crowns with. We ended up buying 30 packs of 12 and over 5,000 gems to put on them. After that, I made signs for each girls on the run site (there are 17 sites). After talking with the Girls on the Run staff, it was already time to go. It was a fun first day of project. Next week, once my APs are officially over, I will have time to go and work at the sites with the young girls in the program, so that should be a lot of fun.
