Today has been a rough day for my class. First, during play time this morning they got out literally every toy that we own. The place was a wreck. It was also really cold in the classroom this morning so there were kids dragging blankets around and playing mommy and baby with the blankets. Everyone is also very cranky. They're having trouble keeping their hands to themselves. One of the little boys in the class decided today that he was in charge. His exact words were "GO BYE! I da boss not YOU!" as he stomped away to push one of the other kids... We also had library today. Instead of listening to the stories being told some of the girls would yell out that they had eaten whatever was on the page being shown. Oh, would you like an example of this creative way to be a distraction????? We were reading a story about rainbows, every time the page turned it was a race to see who could announce "I ATE THAT RAINBOW!" and logically a fight would ensue about who actually ate the rainbow. As we were leaving the library, one of the kids was devastated to find that he couldn't take home a book about trucks. It's been about 3 hours since our time in the library and he is still crying about the truck book.
Monday + Rest Time = chaos..
